Download TV shows from German channels
Mediathek is a German application that mainly allows you to search and download videos from the online portals of German channels ARD, ZDF, 3sat, ARTE, WDR and more.
Obviously, most English speakers won't find much use for it but if you are an English speaker living in Germany, or you have access to German channels and want to download programs from channels such as ZDF, WDR, 3sat etc, then Mediathek is a very handy application.
However, don't expect much help from the start. You'll need to know exactly the channel and program that you're looking for. Of course, the other problem is that the interface is all in German so its a bit tricky to use if you don't have a working knowledge of the language. However, the search box and download buttons are fairly self explanatory.
If you want download programming from German channels, then Mediathek is a solid application.
